Introducing The On-boarding Team Fast-Tracking Your Development On Steemit.

After the introduction of this idea by @fisteganos, we are releasing what looks like a more detailed plan of action.

One Quality (oneQ) has been set up with the vision of growing the Nigerian community on Steemit.

The Plan.

We are setting out to do three basic but very important things;

  • To build a strong community that loves, shares, and helps each other succeed.

  • To put out only quality and engaging content every day.

  • To hit a target of 1000 SP per member within 30 days.

More Details

...on building a strong community that loves, shares, and helps each other succeed.

The Steemit community has, over the past year, been gradually developing her culture. Some important high points of this developing culture includes promoting engagement on the platform and developing relationships that otherwise could never have been possible. It is why we love and adore Steemit. It is why we want everybody to come over so that they too can experience it. It's what makes us different from other "social networks" out there.

With this said, it is imperative that we continue to do all we can to promote these values. This is why we at @onequality feel the need to imbibe this culture in all of our members.

...on putting out only quality and engaging content every day.

The other aspects of the culture being championed on Steemit is that of the quality of posts. At oneQ, we noticed that many newbies struggle with the concept of getting Steemit right and then wrongly assume that they need to post endlessly in order to get the attention they deserve. oneQ knows that it's quality over quantity any day and so intends to convert her members to champions of quality content.

To achieve this, members will initially be limited to one post a day. This is to allow them focus on making the post as high quality as possible. Quality posts are like the foundation on which success on Steemit is built and so members are encouraged to not feel discouraged at the early stages. As they grab and understand more of these concepts, the limit on number of posts will gradually be lifted.

...on hitting a target of 1000 SP per member within 30 days.

We believe in investing in the community and this is evident in our desire to put out only quality contents. In addition to this, members are required to powerup all earnings from posts published during the program. This means that all the support you give to members by way of your upvotes is not seen as a way to make some quick bucks.

oneQ desires to become self-sufficient as soon as possible and will therefore be powering up all her earnings. We hope that this shows our long term commitment to the community.

However, the truth is that we all need some form of payment for work done and so we have devised a workaround. Since every member is required to post every day for the duration of the program, we intend to reward every member that is able to do this consistently. They will be paid 7 SBD for every week of consistent posting. This will be from my pocket or from the official account ( @onequality ) once it becomes self sufficient. So we are looking at a maximum of 70 SBD payout a week. This will help keep them encouraged while they power up all their earnings. However, anybody that misses a day out of the 7 gets no pay.

Other equally important notes

  • Due to it being a one-on-one type of training, there is a limit to how many people can participate at a given time. Therefore @onequality will be working with a maximum of 10 members for its first batch.

  • For now, each batch is scheduled to run for a period of 30 days during which all our goals must have been achieved.

  • Posts by members can be found under the #onequality tag.

  • We intend on having QnA sessions in our Telegram channel where our volunteer mentors would be able to interact with the members.

  • At the end of 30 days when the goals would have been met, each member is expected to take up at least two new members to give the same training they received. That will be where the exponential growth sets in.

oneQ is not a competition but a team effort. Did I hear you say Steem effort?

Sample Curriculum

Members will be taught best practices as regards;

  • voting,
  • use of tags,
  • crafting titles the right way,
  • writing engaging quality posts, and
  • interacting with the community.

Members will be required to follow one another, upvote, and comment, on their posts to teach them to care and interact with others.

Weekly Updates

Every week, @onequality will publish stats to monitor our progress. These will include:

  • total number of posts,
  • total comments generated by members,
  • total number of upvotes,
  • total number of views,
  • total value of payouts (pending/paid),
  • increase in reputation.

Since we also plan to have weekly mentor sessions, we will be publishing a weekly rundown of all activities including the mentor sessions. Each week, mentors will get to pick their top 5 posts and this information will also be published.

Goodwill Backers

We have been able to garner some high dose of goodwill so far from some esteemed members of the community. They include:

Ways To Support.

  • You can help out by following @onequality. We plan to be self-sufficient ASAP and your support will help us achieve this.

  • You can offer to become one of our distinguished mentors. Being a oneQ is a lot of fun and an opportunity to give back to the community.

  • You can come up with a genius idea and shoot me a DM in Steemit.chat and I’ll be more than happy to discuss.

Future Plans.

In the not too distant future, we hope to be able to take on the marketing responsibilities of Steemit in Nigeria via the parent brand @oneq by:

  • organizing regular meetups (the best parties) in cities across the country,

  • sponsoring events and putting up billboards,

  • organizing contests hosted on the Steem blockchain and geared towards the Nigerian community.

Sort:

I appreciate the initiative towards sustainable communities on the blockchain - and is there any particular reason for choosing Nigeria in particular out of the multitude of disenfranchised communities? (Not that I have any problem with that of course, just curious ;)

The reason is because I stay in Nigeria and would find it easier to organize and coordinate things from here

There is are many initiatives ongoing that caters to other nations and more are emerging gradually! What is your nation, will link you to initiatives that plays a similar role to @onequality! For Africa as whole, we are involved!

Outstanding.

We think so too. Now we can't wait to get to work.

Big plans. Greetings to Nigeria and good luck..

Thanks. Greetings from Nigeria to you too.

The journey will be tough and losts of data involved but it is possible and support will definitely find you. That is how these things work! You are not alone!

Thanks for the encouragement. We'll keep playing our parts to grow the entire community.
