MAY 2ND, 2018 - a day I won't willingly forget in a hurry

This is me on my Birthday.

Hello SteemIt, May 2nd was my birthday. It was indeed a good day.

So at first, Sonia called me at 12:00am just to wish me a Happy Birthday, I was very elated. I mean, here was this girl that I wasn’t that close with, yet she did not take that as a pointer not to show me love. As soon as she finished giving me her wishes, I made a decision immediately to enlist her into my close circle of friends.

Fast forward to 6:00am, mother called me, and she started her tales as usual, telling me how big I have grown and how much I was stubborn while growing up. I laughed so hard, well, not that it was a new thing to me, but the fact that she doesn’t miss giving me the same speeches everywhere was so nice and lovely. Minutes later, dad called me to wish me a happy birthday. I tried to get some cash from him, but it did not work. Dad figured out my moves even before I made them. As soon as he finished giving me the birthday, he told me I shouldn’t even think of asking him for cash, and that I should just go write my exams that day. And yes, I had exams that day.

Soon after talking to mom and dad, I got up, freshened up and got prepared to write my exams. On my way to the exam hall, I met this girl called PRECIOUS, she was just coming out of her hostel, immediately she saw me, she literally started singing me a HAPPY BIRTHDAY song on top of her voice, in front of all and sundry. I couldn’t help but laugh, I mean she had a bad voice, but that didn’t stop her from showing me love. I think that moment was the most adorable and special moment of my birthday.

Soon enough, I got to the exam hall, turns out I was early to the exam hall. As soon as I got into the hall, I tried doing a slight revision, then 8.05am, the exam started. The exam was tough, I mean I almost got a headache, but I did all my best to deliver and not to try to let the exam ruin my day. The exam ended by 11.20am. I then had a slight talks with my friends, told them to meet up later at night to go get some drinks.

Soon enough I was in my room, resting and watching an episode of “BLINDSPOT”, as soon as I finished watching the episode, I slept off. I woke up by 6:50pm, then I remembered that there was a Champions League Semi-Final 2nd Leg match between A.S. Roma and Liverpool. At once, I put a call through to Donald. Donald is a friend of mine, my coursemate and my real guy. I told him to pick his shit up, that we were gonna go see the match at UNIBEN STAFF CLUB. Soon we got to the STAFF CLUB and started watching the match. While watching the match, I got loads of calls from friends and well wishers, wishing me a HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Then I put a call through to TUNDE, to come meet up at STAFF CLUB so we get the drink we so richly deserved after writing 8 courses.
And yes, I saw MANE’s goal, I freaking loved the goal. Though I wasn’t so comfortable with the way A.S. Roma equalized the first goal. I mean it was an own goal. Then WIJNALDUM put Liverpool back in the league with that flawless header. At that moment, I was sure Liverpool was going to go through to the FINALS with little or no stress. ALAS, I was wrong. DZEKO did the second equalizer with that rebound. Woah, I got up on my feet and screamed.

Then Nigglogan put A.S. ROMA in the lead with that shot in the 86th minute or so. Darn, I was on my toes, because I actually want LIVERPOOL to face Real Madrid in the CL final, so Liverpool win the CL, not that I am a Liverpool fan though. Then A.S. ROMA got a goal through a penalty, with Nigglogan finding the back of the net. At this point, I wanted so badly for the match to end, as soon as the referee blew the final whistle, I got to my feet and jumped. At this point, TUNDE stepped into the STAFF CLUB, he brought HENSHAW alongside.

Now, the gang was almost complete, it was lacking NELSON, it turns out NELSON missed his way to the STAFF CLUB and so couldn’t make it. And so we started having the drinks, it was fun. We had loads of drinks till about 11.00pm that evening and then we went back home.

It was indeed a good day. And guess what? I plan on doing more next year.
