Thanks for your comment. From memory I think a lot of the resilience arrives when needed. Physically the hospital system guides you so that keeps you going. Emotionally though you're on your own, I found. You just have to pick yourself up after every stumble. Reading how others coped helped which is why I thought I'd share my story.
