Are you a gamer? Comment on this post so that I can follow you!

Hi, I'm Missy, and I play Magic: the Gathering. I'm looking to connect with other gamers (in general, not just MtG players) on steem. If you comment below, it will make it easier for me to follow you!

Thanks in advance if you follow me, too!

Well hello there Missy :)

Welcome to Steemit - hope to see great gaming content from you

Also - consider joining our Gaming - Trail

Thanks! Followed you here and joined the Discord

Hi Missy! I love gaming, but I only posted one bit about it so far. I can recommend you to follow @kralizec , he makes great reviews and rumors say he is curating gaming-trail

followed btw ;)

hey man :) Thanks for the mention :)

I followed you both! Nice to meet you. Now my feed is international! Coincidentally, I was an Air Force brat stationed in Germany and my mom's family immigrated to the United States from Czechoslovakia at the turn of the century. Pretty sure the only reason we have family reunions is so that they have an excuse to make Czech food and make sure my generation remembers our heritage.

funny - I posted a few Czech traditional recipies a few days ago :)

I'm thinking about posting a few more - what's your favorite Czech food? :)

Also yes, I'm the curator for the gaming trail ;)

Also yes, I'm the curator for the gaming trail ;)

I remember when I first saw your videos and thought 'Hey, that guy deserves more exposure!' And then i find out you are @gaming-trail xD

glad you like my videos :)

And I happy for exposure since I can't promote my own content through the curation trail :D

I don't know how to spell it, but it's pronounced Fleet-schkee?

you mean baked pasta with pieces of meat in it?

That's the stuff. My grandma always used the last of the ham before she used the hambone to make stock. I think it was a go-to recipe for her because she had a large Catholic family and casseroles were cheap and convenient. My mom used to make a pastry that had cottage cheese and prunes, but not sure if that was a Czech thing or not.

I hope you play the best format: EDH (commander) 🙃

I'm the tournament organizer at my LGS, so I play all the formats we host...including EDH. I've been working on a Breya build, but I don't know if it will ever be competitive in the local meta...everyone here has these ridiculou$$$ decks that they've been piloting for years. And then there's me, just durdling around, still trying to figure out the best way to shuffle all those cards...

Cool, Breya is really powerful. I think you should be able to make a competitive deck with a modest budget but maybe I'm lucky that my meta sort of follows the 75% philosophy.

You are going to love it here! Follow me at https://steemit.com/@bitgeek

Hello. I JUST joined Steemit, so I'm really new to this.
I play only 1 game on-line at this time (I don't have the time to play more games on-line) at AQW.com . My son and I started a company to make games and we hope to have a playable 'slash-and-hack' sword fighting game out in a year. Hopefully it does well enough to fund the next game.

Oh make sure you add photos to your post (one will do), even a photo you take over your mtg deck can help get you views.

Thanks for the tip and my first resteem! Your post about building the gaming community here is what inspired me to post this.

Awesome, they are adding communities here in the near future and I will be working to build one when it happens, you are more than welcome to join.

Hey Missy, welcome to steemit. Glad to see you representing mtg on here. I'm working too get gamers gathered here to build a solid community. I resteemed your post.

That's how I got here:)
I'm a gamer too, though I don't post about it. At least not yet. I'm trying to persuade the chainbb board to have a gaming section though.

Nice to meet you! Followed.

My buddy @rotfoot is going to be putting up Breath of the Wild posts soon. He's a much harder core gamer than me.

Cool! I followed you both :)

Awesome!

Cool to see MTG on steemit! Huge fan of that game! Haven't been playing much since commander became fashionable, I much prefer classic magic.

My favorite formats are sealed or draft, then standard. I've recently built Modern and commander decks because I moved to an area where they are WAY more popular. I've noticed that the playgroups in the different formats have totally different personalities and group dynamics. I didn't know Magic players could be so chill until I met Legacy players.

Most of my gaming is PC or Nintendo products, once I get a memory card for my Switch I'll probably be making posts on that.

On a weird side note I just found my Magic cards from the 90's like 3 days ago, go figure I see your post lol.

Any Black Lotuses in there? (Wouldn't that be nice?!?)

If only!!!! Going to have to have a sit down and see what I even have. Most of the cards are from before most expansions came out so I'm not sure exactly what I'll find.

Legacy is still a popular format, so maybe you'll get lucky! I think I'm about to "learn" how to embed a YouTube livestream into a post and crack a bunch of packs...maybe find some things my modern deck needs :)

Nice. Gonna have to look for a page that shows rarity or whatnot. Nice to know its called Legacy though, that'll help me look.

I suggest mtgprice.com or tcgplayer.com for figuring out card values, and mtggoldfish.com for deckbuilding tips :)

Thanks I will have to check those out!
