Dear Steemians,
My name is Naresha R. Moore and I am a blockchain/cryptocurrency aficionado from the nutmeg state, Connecticut. I am a passionate supporter of economic empowerment and the unimpeded development of innovative technology. I truly believe cryptocurrency is more than bitcoin and I am excited about the future of crypto!!
My entrée into the cryptocurrency space began with two pivotal decisions, watching the documentary, *Banking on Bitcoin* and taking an investing course taught by Dr. Boyce Watkins at The Black Business School(https://theblackbusinessschool.com/). These two decisions launched my cryptocurrency journey, which can be only described as the following: riding a roller coaster, while drinking from a fire hose, while taking a selfie with my driver’s license to verify my identity for a Poloniex account. Does this sound familiar? On a serious note, my journey has been an amalgamation of excitement, fear, confusion, challenges, and determination.

How I came to Steemit
The best thing about my beautifully arduous journey is that it has given me courage to create a blog focusing on the ever changing regulations in the cryptocurrency space. Thank you Mark Moss and Charles Wu for introducing me to Steemit.
My background is in healthcare compliance in the Biotech/Pharma industry (heavily regulated) for the past 10 years and I have a natural affinity for learning, sharing, and discussing the impacts of regulations. I am contemplating law school as soon as they start accepting Bitcoin!! In the meantime, my goal is to empower newbies such as myself with knowledge and information. Regulations are here to stay and as we delve further into cryptocurrency, whether we are just trading altcoins, creating businesses, or developing technologies based on the blockchain, we will no doubt be confronted with or impacted by regulations and I want us to aware and knowledgeable. **Knowledge is Power**!!
