My First Steemit Post!

Hello everyone. Mister W here. And this is my very first post on Steemit.

I've been sitting here mulling over what to say in this post for the last half hour and finally I've decided to just go for it. Not really sure where this post will go but I'm sure it'll be entertaining.

First, a little bit about me: I'm a totally newbie here at Steemit and I will freely admit that I don't fully understand what is going on. That being said I intend to stick around until I do. I was directed to this site by a couple of different people I follow online and that makes me think it might be in the cards for me to be a part of it.

I intend to blog about (and make videos on Dtube about) the topics in life that I am most passionate about. Some of those include: minimalism, simple living, money management for broke folks like me, precious metals, and seasonal travel jobs.

Yes I know, I'm kinda all over the place lol. But that's just how my brain works. I'm hoping me and my many subject matters will be accepted on Steemit without too much head shaking and eye rolling. I get enough of that on my Youtube channel when I jump around from topic to topic.

Speaking of Youtube, one of the reasons why I am excited about Dtube is because I hope it can be an alternative to Youtube. The recent demonetization issues going on over there leave me scratching my head on a daily basis. It's gotten out of control! I don't make a lot of money on Youtube so it hasn't affected my pockets much but it is aggravating to work on a video all afternoon (ok, I'm lying I only work on videos for like 30 mins) and then have it deemed unsuitable for advertisers.

I'm hoping that eventually (I'm not just here for money folks) I can make a coin or two off Steemit and Dtube as well as be free to post whatever I want without censorship. Because I know the issues on Youtube will get worse before they get better.

I few more facts about me before I go: I'm almost 40, male, and single. I mention that last part for any single ladies that might stumble across my profile. Yes ladies, Mister W is quite single and almost ready to mingle. I've got a little more traveling to do before I'm ready to settle down, but we can definitely be friends.

And finally: I'm new to the cyrptocurrency world (I'm not even sure I spelled it right lol) but it's a subject a hope to learn a lot more about in the near future. Hopefully, being a member of the Steemit community will help with that.

Anyway, I've been rambling long enough. Thanks for reading and for the opportunity to share my thoughts. I hope to meet alot of you in the days to come and make some good friends. Espceially if you are female, single, somewhere close to 40, and don't mind a man who's broke....
