My First Post and It's Not a Joyful One

My name is Mia and I currently live in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. I look around and I realize that most of the people here wrote something joyful for their first time posts, so pardon me if this one is not that entertaining.

It's been rainy in Jakarta, drizzle and heavy rain, almost everyday. I can hardly leave my house without taking umbrella.
Yesterday, I heard a gloomy news, as gloomy and as dark as the skies above. One of my friends is being hospitalized. She's just been diagnosed with leukemia, they said it's an acute one. As I heard the news, the first thing that crossed my mind was how cheerful she used to be and how easy the light's taken away.
On my way to the hospital, the heavy rain fell down, and I couldn't stop thinking about how vulnerable this life is.
I pray for her recovery.
