Introducing a guy, who left and traveled ever since
Hello, strangers!
My name is Lukas; I am a full-time traveler, non-native English speaker originally from Europe (Czech), who knows nothing about crypto currencies and block chains, but LOVE to share E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G. I just came down from an incredible hike and felt that I am in a perfect mood for writing this introductory post.
I am from a country where being different and successful in whatever you are doing is not appreciated by others. It took me a long time to take a different approach, break the chains of must-do-combo (study hard, then get the 9-5 job, save for retirement and shut up) and live the life I truly wanted.
Living the dream
Here I am now, sitting in a Starbucks somewhere in Washington in the USA, sipping mint tea beside my amazing girlfriend (who I plan to marry soon!) on a 3-month road trip through North America, with Alaska and Canada marked as completed and the whole USA ahead of us, all very well documented on our facebook page, travel blog and productivity blog.
Last 12 months was a game changer
It was exactly a year ago when we stepped into a plane and vanished from our previous lives. Get rid of an apartment, garbage half of our possessions and explain to our families what we are going to do and why is it right for us - those were necessary steps to take, as hard as it sounds.
During the next 12 months, we have accomplished more than in our whole lives! We went through a variety of jobs and promotions, started a travel blog followed with a productivity and marketing blog, launched our first branded product and did the most epic hikes in the entire Canadian Rockies and Alaska mountain ranges.
My contribution to Steemit community
I love to share my ideas and experiences. We have multiple businesses which we maintain online, and thus we have to overcome many of the boundaries of the new "digital nomad" era. I like to share my solutions to various problems step by step, showing people the exact tools I have used.
Traveling is my (our) passion, so you will see a lot of pictures from hiking, driving and experiencing the unseen. We go farther than others, in all ways it means.
Pushing limits
Going as far as I can and a little bit more is a way of living I have learned and consciously chosen during the last year. I drove myself to total body exhaustion twice in the last month, just because I am trying to push harder. Lucy had to drag me through dense forest to backcountry campground and take of me because I couldn't.
This way we are not only able to experience some amazing things just because we have suffered it through, but it also broadens our minds, deepens our relationship and lastly, but most importantly, it feels GREAT.
Why did I join the Steemit community?
Because it feels different. As I said before, I know nothing about crypto currencies. But I know something about communities, quality content and that the world belongs to those, who are always a step ahead.
I feel like I am doing one of those steps now. I have no idea what is waiting for me there, who I will meet and what impact I will have. I have one wish, which pops out every time I take some damn test about my personality - I want to inspire others and encourage people to stand on their own feet. That is my mission.
And to mention, I was referred by my friend, @viktor.phuket.
I really hope you will enjoy my writing :)
P.S.: All pictures you will ever see on my account are taken by me or my my girlfriend, Lucy.

We love original content! Looking forward to your posts.
For many new people, the voting and points system seems complicated at first. Here is an excellent post and entertaining video about how it all works.

Hi Ed! Whereabouts do you live? I have spent a year in Banff / Lake Louise / Calgary area and it was simply amazing.
Saskatoon, not too too far from there. It's quite flat here though.

Welcome to Steem! Have you been to New Zealand yet?
Not yet, but it is our next long-time destination. Will try our luck with working visas for next year :)
Well, if you go that far, you may as well do Australia also. ;-)
