Hi gjoe, welcome to steemit. I'm sure you will love it here! Just to give you some advice, when you want to show a picture you can just click on the green text right under the part where you are writing your post. Then you can select the picture on your pc and it will show in your post instead of the link that is showing now ;)
Most of us needed to practice a little before our pictures showed up so nothing to feel bad abouth :)
