I stumbled into the cryptoworld after googling " ways to make money".
Hi everyone. I'm new to Steemit. For now , you can call me Pharaoh Huni, and this is my story.
Like many of us, we've seem companies make more and more money, yet we don't see that same growth in our paychecks. I changed careers in 2017, and while it didn't pay as much as my old job, it definitely made me happier. Automatically, my next priority was finding out ways to make up the difference. That's when I heard about bitcoin.
This isn't my first run-in with the cryptocurrency. One of my computer science friends from my Alma Mater told me about it, but unfortunately also talked about the silk road, which turned me off to the idea. Looking back, I would have literally been a millionaire by now if I trusted my intuition.
The first thing I did however was determine if there were any cloud-mining services available because my laptop sucks and I wanted instant results, regardless of the price tag. Before you know it, I set up a Hashflare account. I set up a strategy to make sure it could sustain itself if btc hit its price targets (it did), and the rest is history. I've already broke even, and I'm making roughly $60/day, which is way more than I thought I would be making at this point.
Cool right? For me, yeah, but look at the bigger picture. As soon as Bitcoin broke $9k last year an influx of people joined coinbase and cryptoexchanges, causing most companies to disable new users. They had FOMO and were trying to find the next low cost coin to foolishly pour their savings into ( just to panic sell when it dropped low again). I really wonder if this would be the case if people weren't in need of money. Not even like real wealth, just cushion money so that they didn't have to choose between paying for an emergency and paying for bills. If it wasn't cryptocurrency, it would be something else, right?
I love cryptocurrency because if we as the 99% play this right, we can all become financially free, and will not have to rely on big businesses to stay afloat. That's only if we are all responsible crypto users. And in 2018, I know that probably won't happen. I still have hope though. I have hope that the majority of us, instead of trying to find worthless altcoins to buy in bulk, we'll learn how to truly engage with the technology so we don't get left behind like people did in the internet boom.
Promise me me you'll do the later.
You are welcome to this family. You will surely enjoy your stay
thanks man. Happy to be here!
