Introducing myself and my software engineering related points of view
Hello everyone!
My name is Lazăr and here is some more information about me:
- I'm a Software Engineer, currently working as an iOS Development Contractor.
- I'm living in Romania.
- My software engineering skills have as foundation about 14 years of studying Computer Science (4y of high-school, 5y of college, 2y of master, 3y research for PhD - unfinished) and a few trainings and certificates.
- I got my first "software related" job in the late of 2005.
- This month I've "celebrated" 12 years of working as a Software Engineer.
- I combined being a full time software developer and a part-time Teacher Assistant for about 3 years.
- I worked as employee for 3 companies, for about 6 years.
- I quit my job and started freelancing after that.
- Since then, I worked for more than 10 clients (companies) and more than 30 projects (from small and medium, to complex ones), part of a team or by my own.
I visited US 4 times (business trips), having the chance to meet and work with people in companies such as Siemens, eBay, Garmin.
All this time I gained some experience which I consider now it's worth to be shared, or at least to mark some lessons learned. I will call all of these: "Software Engineering Points Of View" - my points of view related to different aspects part of Software Development, but not only.
In the next posts I want to share some of my points of view. Stay tuned!
