Such a wonderful quote from ‘Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971)
In times like these, I think this quote is important. Not because it’s just a great quote but because I believe that good deeds that people do every day are overlooked. At all levels.
I see good deeds every day by people who are considered as ‘common’ yet not recognised. Too many awards/knighthoods get given out for people who have written a song/film or whatever else.
How about the people who give up their time to help the elderly - the carers. How about the nurses and the doctors who help keep us alive?
Or that person who assists you in a supermarket or helps you cross the road.
Where is their acknowledgement?
This is where the quote comes in. Without these good deeds, these wonderful human beings, the world would be a much more sad dreadful place to be. Thankfully, there are people out there who show us the light and teach us that perhaps the world isn’t always as bad as we think!
