Thank you for your kind note, @josteem. We have many friends in Sweden thanks to our sport throwing. As you may note in the score sheet in my post, we have 14 athletes from Sweden in this event alone. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1613592875365038/ is the Arboga-based club we are so very close with. We like to think that we are one of the few sporting events with active entrants from Sweden, Indonesia, the US, Canada, and Italy. Cheers. It is very nice to meet you.

We are big fans of the Vikings. From what is known, it is perfectly reasonable to conclude that the Vikings threw implements independently of other groups over a millennium back. Certainly there is a lot of Viking pride in the sports throwing clubs we know in Sweden. We maintain one of the largest museum collections of throwing weapons in the US, (The Rocket Collections). It includes many examples of such implements from Sweden.
