Inspiration FRIDAY <CHRIS BLUE>

Please allow me introduce you to Chris Blue... The Voice season 12 winner!. He was the very last to audition in the competition and when he came on, he shook the place as if the auditioning wouldn't end unless he was heard..., infact when all other three team coaches had chosen all their members and their teams were full, with just one spot left, somehow Alicia Keys Just kept on denying those who came forth for auditioning until Chris Blue showed up... . Beyond every doubt Alicia Keys knew she had seen the 'one'.

Chris Blue was far my favorite and he killed every performance, getting my loud ovation every time he performs.... the finale was a very emotional one for me because I had become so fond of him... when he was announced winner I couldn't hold back the joy and satisfaction that engulfed me.
Reminiscing on his victory today I came to realize that there are quite many lessons to draw from the victory of Chris Blue...

      First...that you tried last doesn't mean that you wouldn't come out tops. 

I have seen many lasts come out first... the Last day of 2017 may even turn out to be the winning day of the year so don't yet think the year is over! Don't be depressed when you seem to trail behind now, keep the focus, and target the crown... it is never too late, it is never over unless it is over....

Second... Chris had a motivation, his fiance just survived a dreadful surgery which saved her from a terminal disease. This had him on the edge. He loved her and swore to leave everything on the stage every time he performed. He genuinely wanted to win it for her and she was just enough inspiration and motivation... the question is... What's your motivation? In our pursuits in life we need some motivation that will keep us wanting, keep us to our toes... motivation to keep us awake when we could easily be sleeping, motivation that tells us to double our hustle when we get really lazy... this motivation may be your family, may be your kids... may be your spouse, may be your dream.... whatever it may be, ensure its enough to push you to your limits...

Third: Chris always trusted God.... at the semi'finals, he said..."I need to go back to my root"... he was referring to GOD!.. , I need to take this to the church where I started. He gave an awesome rendition of an evergreen gospel.."take me to the king"... . This performance ended up having the second highest downloads in the 12 year history of The Voice and guaranteed him a place in the final with the highest votes of the season... when God steps in, you break grounds, Chris took the contest to God and God embraced him...

Fourth: humility is the spring board to attaining greater heights... Chris was humble, he was free-spirited... he was cheerful, he was respectful... from his choice of words, to his expression of emotions, you didn't need to look deep to see his heart

Finally: Chris gave his all and formed a bond with his coach... everyone needs a life coach! Your life's coach is your mentor, your boss, your Idol, your helper, your adviser, your teacher.... you must submit and serve, you must listen and learn, you must be loyal and faithful... you must be ready to be led... his bond and loyalty to Alicia Keys was phenomenal and his victory is only a testament of that...

Writing this alone has just refreshed my perspective, I may have to read It over and over to digest these words to make me better...
