Hello everyone, my name is Jake! And I am new to the Steemit community. I've recently just found out about this website and I hope to expand with this site through my passion for nature preservation, photography of nature, and music. By using steemit I hope to gain a great amount of connections and friends and can't wait to evolve with this community!!

Hi Jake, welcome to Steemit.
There are plenty of Steemit tags for such photos and a nice community of photographers who share photos, with contests and challenges that are fun for even the non-pros to participate in. If you search in steemit.com/tags you'll find tags you can use on your posts.
It is customary for a new Steemian to post a picture of themselves holding a paper with their Steemit name, the date and Steemit written on it. It's tradition ;) We call it our initiation hehe
You can read more about it in the FAQ too, where you'll find more info on the jargon we tend to use here, as well as some of the basic etiquette. You can also find tips and tricks for growing your following on Steemit.
