Achievement 1 : Verification Through Introduction @jimj1165
Introduction
My name is Jim Johnson and I live in Washington State, USA. I am 56 years old, single for the last 13 years and live alone. I do have an Electronics degree but grew tired of sitting at a desk or work bench and have changed what I do for a living. I work in maintenance, fixing just about anything and everything that can go wrong inside a home, electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling etc…
Crypto Experience
I would say my experience with Crypto in intermediate. I do own various crypto currencies, Bitcoin, XRP, Algorand, Tezos, Dai, Ethereum, Doge and a few others. I started with about $1000 US in Bitcoin a few years ago and have watched that gain some ground. After reading and some research I decided to put more money in other crypto as I liked what the data was showing me from my research.
Hobbies and Interests
I have been involved in many hobbies over the years but the ones that I have held onto since the start have been computers, electronics, amateur radio, reading and music. IBM started with their home computers in August of 1981, and I spent a small fortune in late September of 1981 to purchase one, and have had a computer since then. I’m not just about computer hardware, I do love to write software as well and did that in my electronics career.
Why I joined Steemit
I have been looking for another social platform to join for a while, one without all the political advertisements and negativity that seem to abound these days. Since my joining a few days ago, I have read a lot of posts in different communities and have found everything to be enjoyable thus far. I do like the idea of different communities instead of having a screen full of random things that I have not interest in. I also find it refreshing that the heavy censorship that is taking place on other platforms do not appear to be happening here. I did learn about Steemit on Facebook and am glad that I clicked the link.
One of my favorites quotes:
"A day without learning is a day wasted. There is so much to learn and so little time to learn it."
— from Wisdom from World Religions by Sir John Templeton
I do look forward to learning here and contributing on Steemit.
Thank you for taking the time to read my introduction.
Hello @jimj1165
This is a repetition. You do not have to re-introduce yourself in the newcomers' community because you had already introduced yourself 8days ago following the link below;
