Hi Basia and welcome to Steemit. It is great to have fellow scientist here - I am studying biology and writing mainly about biology-related stuff.
As for the advice, hmm, well:
- Write abou something you are passionate about (be it movies or makeup, or whatever).
- Stay true to yourself and do not upvote and follow just to get upvoted/followed in return.
- If you happen to write about interesting topic related to science use #steemstem tag.
- Dont give up, even if it seems that you are making no profit - you will in time! :)
