I am at the very south end of the Frisco Bay Area...and some of my friends are down so.cal also...
There are writers, bloggers, you name it on steemit, and they also have quite a few writing contests as well! So whatever you indulge in here, enjoy, and hopefully make yourself at home in a new home. If you have questions there is a Discord server called Steem Terminal, and if you go there, you will get quite a few knowledgeable people who can answer questions that you may have.
