I'm so excited to be here!

Hey everyone, call me Hyph! Let me first say how excited I am to be here on Steemit. What an innovation. I'm looking forward to meeting you all and seeing where this new platform can take us!

Now, here's me:

I chose this picture for a few reasons. First, I wouldn't want to make an introduction post without providing a face to the "name". Second, since I plan to blog about travel so what better image to show than one of my favourite experiences of seeing Malta's Azure Window shortly before it collapsed? Lastly, let's just say I'm not that comfortable being the centre of attention and having a natural wonder like the Azure Window in the background takes a little bit of the attention off of myself.

I'll admit, I've been rather reluctant to share personal information on the internet through social media in the past. I've found it very hard to trust the intentions of those corporations. So, this is a rather large leap for me to be sharing an image of myself and creating a blog with the intention sharing my passions and interests with the world.

So you may wonder, what brings me here?

A strong gut feeling. I feel an immense amount of positive energy stemming from creativity and innovation here and I feel like I would be a fool not to jump on board. I see huge potential to change the entire concept of social media.

What will I be blogging about?

A little more about me: I'm in my mid-20's and I'm from Ontario, Canada. My passions in life are abundant. I am heavily interested in fitness & nutrition, music, and travel. However, I think the most prominent topic of my blogs will be about the MMORPG "Oldschool Runescape". The reason being is that Runescape has been a part of my life for over 16 years now (can you believe that?) as a way to unwind, relieve stress, and relax. When I'm on my computer- I'm often on this game even if it's just for a short time.

Mind you, I also want to open up a little bit more to the Steemit community. I want to form new relationships, learn about you, where you're from, and share our stories. As I get a better understanding of this website I hope to get gradually more personal and share many aspects of my life with you folks.

I think I have a lot to offer in terms of experiences and ideas so be sure to stay tuned. I'm confident that I have something in common with anyone who stumbles across my page- so try me! Thanks for reading- until next time. :)
