#intoduceyourself: What is HimigSikat?
Hello there #steemit community and most especially to Filipino steemians.
My friends and I decided to create this account as HIMIGSIKAT which is a combination of two Filipino/Tagalog words -- Himig (means Hym or pertains to Music or a Song) and Sikát (means Popular or becoming Popular/Rising like a Star) .
This will be a project/advertising/campaign based page where in the group behind #himigsikat will be scouting talents of #Filipino Composers and Singers who believe in their dreams to be a STAR by composing OPM(Original Pilipino Music) and performing it either by themselves or their chosen singer(s).
This project is limited to Filipino community who are living in United Arab Emirates. We all believe that Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who are residing and working in UAE have talents in composing and performing songs and their love for music is outstanding. This is the reason why we are building this project and in the future, we aim to create a community of Filipinos who are united with their original music composition.
A legal music company/institute is supporting this project so a license needed to comply with UAE Government is not a problem at all. In other words this project is without a doubt legal and has necessary permits.
This year, we are on our way to host the FIRST "HIMIGSIKAT 2018" and we will all be honored if you can join us in this endeavor. The team will prepare a contest proper and of course THERE WILL BE PRIZES to win!
Please help us promote our future posts and activities.
