Greetings Steemians

Hi, I'm Harvey, aka HarvHat and I've been lurking around Steemit for a month or more so I figured maybe I should at least. #introducemyself.

What I do

Currently I do back end web-coding and system administration and play games. Previously I spent many years being a "busker" in the Boston, MA (USA) area. Maybe I'll be able to get back into playing music again. I've posted a somewhat horrendous sounding recording of me playing in the subways in 1999 over on dsound here.

Besides that I also worked at, and then managed, a Coffee Connection, a nice bistro café in Harvard Sq (before Starbucks came along and bought them out). Here's a old photo of me in the tiny office they had taken near the end of the '80s

Currently

Currently I'm learning the programming language "Go" as well as just enough front end web programming to get by (hopefully). I am also a Linux and open source enthusiast who is also trying to get up-to-speed on cryptocurrency.

I don't expect to be posting too often as I am not much of a blogger. I found Steemit when I was looking for alternatives to YouTube and discovered DTube. I may eventually post a video over there too.
