Hello everyone! I chose to join Steemit because I think the idea and the energy behind it is awesome! In my opinion, we as collective humanity are in the middle of some big shifts, and the way we view, use and share our personal voices, resources and talents and the way we do business and create is part of these shifts, and within that Steemit offers something very valuable. It offers a different way to share, appreciate and support each others creative output.
As a freelance writer I became tired of endless online pressure of quantity over quality and relentless competition, people not willing to pay for quality content. I got tired of the game: I pay you as little as possible to get as much as possible from you.
I believe there is so much more potential in all of us and our joined ventures if we create business collaborations and situations that are mutually empowering, inspiring, nurturing and beneficial. If in business both partners (respectively all involved, from ‘employer’ to ‘employee’ or beyond this concept) can see, value and want to help develop the other’s talents and gifts etc., we can move from exploitative employments and old capitalist ways, to finding and building collaborations where everyone involved is seen, valued, appreciated and can benefit and grow in equal manner.
I joined Steemit to explore other ways of currency and exchange, other ways of giving to the community, other ways of how our voices are shared, seen and valued.
I feel Steemit offers the platform, encouragement and the community to use our gifts and talents (sharing of experience, expression and knowledge ...) as our own resource and capital for business, fun, growth, exchange and collaboration.
