Do all things we can (できる事全てを)

All-things-2.jpg

I am a graphic designer / artist who has 18 years of experience.
I am a landed immigrant from Japan, and have been living in British Columbia, Canada, for 19 years.
I was born in Miyagi, and we moved to Fukushima when I was very young and spent most of time in Fukushima until 19 years old.

After the earthquake of March 11, 2011, I was concerned about my family in Japan because of the radiation from the nearby Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear plants.
Only I could do was, praying from Canada to Heavenly Father for my families in Japan.
My neighbours, an older couple, kindly brought some money to donate to my country.
We gave their money to Red Cross as a donation.

As a token of my gratitude, I etched their names on a couple of glass mugs and gave them to them.
A few days after, I met the older gentleman on the street, and he said he really liked the present from me, and he is using it often in his life.
I was so glad that I could make something he likes, that he uses everyday, and I was happy to see his smile.

That was the begining of my service. Since then, I have etched some mugs or dishes for my friends and customers on special occasions.
As a graphic designer, I have printed millions and millions of flyers, business cards, and brochures at work.
However, most of them might be just thrown directly into the garbage can.
I would love to offer products that people like and use in their everyday life. Also, I love to make memorable items for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, etc.
I want to provide products that will bring joy and smiles along with beautiful memories to the people who use them.

Above picture, a piece of art I etched to remind that our lives are not easy, but we still can do all thing we can.

Bible New Testament - 1 Corinthians 13:7

"Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things."

Thanks for sharing your introduction with us @hagoromo! I have always wanted to visit Japan! Any specific places someone should visit if they get the opportunity?

If you want to see urban city, Tokyo is the best.
You can access touring spot to spot by train easily.
Tokyo is famous of high buildings, but also some traditional spots, like Asakusa Temple...etc.
If you go to Tokyo, you can access to Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Sea, it's not too far, less than 1 hour.
We just visited Japan 6 months ago to see my family and friends, it was wonderful time for me.

Tokyo is definitely on my list of "Places to Visit". I think at least one big "Travel around the world" type of thing should be on everyones bucket list. And I have never been to a DisneyLand, either. Maybe I can kill two birds with one trip? Thanks for the suggestion!

Welcome to steemit, hagoromo! I really like your steem name :)
Hope you will keep posting some more pictures of your work. It's really interesting and I will definitely wait for more!
