I’ve noticed your publications on gold mining in Venezuela. How do locals feel about company’s like Gold Reserve having a joint venture with the VZ government? Is it seen as a positive because of potential job creation? Or is it viewed as a negative?
Another government economic disaster... created a project called the orinoco mining arc.The plan foresees the exploitation of minerals under criteria of sovereignty and sustainability, aims to implement a model of "ecological mining", with respect to the environment, which allows to overcome the monoproductive matrix and generate a new source of income for the country, the ecological disaster that this will generate is irreversible, we will lose the main rivers of the country by contamination with mercury and cyanide. We'll lose jungle, and we'll have more malaria. THERE IS NO ECOLOGICAL MINING BECAUSE IT IS SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE NOT TO POLLUTE WHEN IT COMES TO MINING! so it's seen as a negative for the country. They tested the money and power and will keep it at any cost and yet, then they have to plunder the remaining natural resources in the country to give it to the capitalist companies who hate and criticize to get some money to see if they can keep spending or bring some food to the country.
