An introduction to me.

So this is a bit of a background story to who and why I am who I am.

My names Mike and I'm from Brisbane Australia. Born in the Era of Sir Joh and Bob Hawke we had a fairly smooth childhood, my folks were rich by any means, but everything we had we earnt. From a young age I'd be taken to work on a saturday with my dad to work on trucks. By the time I started high school I could laser align a trailer better than most of the tradesmen there.

During highschool (which I attended with @ausbitbank ) I was that socially awkward kid, didn't fit in to any set sub group, but wasn't a complete loner. This got me interested in IT as well as seeing the world and situations for what they really are and not what we are told they are.

I ended up doing a trade qualification, I'm a Fitter & Turner by profession and have specialised in Pumps and pumping systems for the past 15years.
This has me working in the mining industry a lot, and being on the inside I can see the complete and utter crap that the media tells the general public regarding the industry, such as how horrible Adani is, how bad the FIFO life is, and cries for the poor miner. This is complete crap and hopefully I can shed some light on real life in the industry, as well as some political and other rantings.
