About Me

So this is something I've been postponing and prolonging all through 2017 but upon entering the New Year, I decided to take care of this once and for all...
So, this is my introduce yourself post (finally!)😁😁

My name is Godwin Franklyn Udoh. I'm a young male of the Homo sapiens line of earth lifeforms. I'm from Etinan LGA in Akwa Ibom State in Nigeria. I'm 22 (I'll be 23 this year) and there are many things about me...dunno where to start from. Let's begin with family.

I'm the first of two and my younger sister is a darling devil (all big bros with little sis can easily relate). Dad's late (due to a brief illness...or so the banner said) so all I've got is mum. And talking about mum, she is the best mum in the world (all cliche aside). I'm quite a handful; so full sometimes I drip. Trust me, it ain't easy to mother me without wishing to murder me. I'm not bad (like gangster bad) but...let just say I and my mum have very different views on same issues and sometimes, I selfishly want my "will to be done". Talk about being rebellious😒
But asides that, I love her so very much. She's made more sacrifices for me than the Israelites did in the days of the Judges. Working two jobs full-time (at WAEC and as a farmer...cos she's a lover of the earth), she still squeeze out time to monitor my academics and friends-my life. If I don't have any reason to be successful in life, she's all the reason why I gats blow.
My sister is my adorable darling. With the heart of an angel, she's the definition of trouble. My crime partner, my sole confident, my gossip buddy and my bestest friend. I always tell my friends that "...before my wife can make me love her more than my sister, she go work tire..." Once, I tried to imagine life without my mum and my sis. Without mum, I felt I could survive cos I got baby sis. But when I thought of living without sis, I nearly cried...cos I felt it. It'd be unbearable. Yea...that's how much I love her (so all ye single ladies...bring your A-game).
That's about family.

I'm in my Final Year in the University of Uyo majoring in Microbiology. Being a student in a Nigerian university isn't something to talk about; we're all victims. But in spite of the hard journey, I met cool friends like @vwovwe and @mrfelix and @samstickkz who all pressured me to join steemit (talk about friends indeed😁)

One thing to know is that I'm a poet. That is to say I write poetry. I also do Spoken Words...i.e. performance poetry. My stage name is Godwine and pretty soon, you'll get to see and hear more from my table of puns (so in case you need a Spoken Word act, feel free to contact me).
I'm part of a literally creative family on campus called The Poetic Nest. These guys have the best collection of literal lords in Uyo. Talk about poetry, prose or anything literal, these guys are multi-talented...(I think they'll soon have their steemit account so watch my blog😉😉)

My hobbies are reading random stuff that either interest me or add interest to my current capital (if you know what I mean😉). I'm sapiosexual and an intelligent mind is my Delilah. I'm very thoughtful and sometimes too melancholic for my liking. Oooh...that reminds me, I'm PHLEGMEL (temperament ish) so I'm really introverted. One thing that gets me outgoing is when I'm in the midst of creative people, I get super excited. I also love sleeping 😁 I can sleep eh...like I'll just shut down...lol. I especially love getting super stressed before sleeping...cos waking will be so divine 😇. I love listening to instrumentals when I either reading stuff or writing a piece and I hope that one day, I'll be able to create new sounds too. I love intellectual discussions (sapiosexual something). I love cooking...like that's the one thing that gives me 100% joy (after writing and sleeping and watching movies all night). Ain't a chef...yet😉

How I joined Steemit!
It started when @vwovwe came to me and was like he's discovered a platform where my write-ups (that actually littered Facebook and got at most 5 likes and 1 comment) would be most appreciated by readers all over the world. He actually didn't tell me about the monetary rewards (or maybe he did😞) but I was all about a bigger audience and more feedback. I signed up but was honestly lazy about posting... Well, the laziness went with the past year.

So I'm rejoining Steemit...and I hope to make more friends than I can handle (lol), read stuff that literally blow my mind and...have fun.
