F**k MARRIAGE AND RELATIONSHIP: MARRIAGE AND RELATIONSHIP IS NOT JUST YOUR THING Part #4

Have you ever tried to give something to a friend and you get turned down? Have you ever wonder why that happened? You are not alone here; a lot of people turn things down out of habit.
On those very rare occasions that someone does accept something, it is a privilege and a treat. It is too bad they are rare.
How careful we are to avoid any help. How many times have we refused a drink only to get ourselves one in a few minutes? In reality we are pushing people out of our lives refusing to get close. This independent spirit which bread a good work ethic can go to far and bar the door of relationships.
The point is that you have to guard yourself. Open up to people and let them do something for you.
There is another possibility of course, that one person goes the other way and increases their level of commitment to the other in order to make that other feel they should give their commitment back. When this doesn't work the first person in this example keeps upping-the-ante creating a dangerous imbalance where one is in control and the other is subservient and miserable. This sort of relationship is extremely destructive and can only go one way; disaster!
People will accept and appreciate your gift better when you are giving with the right motive and when you are timely about it.
• Learn to people, especially your partner when they ask.
• Learn to give surprises.
• Find out important dates in their life and send gifts.
• Give to yourself first then you will be a better giver.
