Ciao Steemit! 

Frequento internet da tanto tempo, ma non avevo mai pensato di pubblicare qualcosa e contribuire a creare i contenuti della rete:  la mia presenza era limitata a pochi profili social praticamente abbandonati. 

Oggi ho deciso di diventare più attivo, anche grazie agli amici di Koinsquare, che mi hanno fatto conoscere Steem e mi hanno fatto capire che nella comunità delle criptovalute c’e’ un grande interesse (e tanta incertezza) nei confronti delle questioni legali e fiscali. 

Io sono tecnicamente un “commercialista”, ma avendo lavorato in banca per tanti anni la mia esperienza si concentra principalmente sulle questioni riguardanti gli investimenti esteri: le criptovalute sono un fenomeno nuovo, complesso e molto interessante dal punto di vista tecnico-giuridico, e creano problematiche fiscali molto importanti sia per gli operatori professionali (miner, exchange) che per gli investitori privati. 

Ho quindi pensato che fosse una buona idea mettere la mia esperienza a disposizione della comunità, per cercare di risolvere qualche dubbio e soprattutto dare qualche suggerimento per evitare i pericoli maggiori. 

Io non sono un trader e non sono un tecnico informatico, quindi non me la sentirei di dare consigli di investimento o di fare commenti sulla tecnologia delle varie criptovalute: allo stesso modo credo che sia poco furbo affidarsi a trader ed informatici per risolvere dubbi fiscali, ed è per questo che ho deciso di buttarmi nella mischia. 

Conto molto sui vostri suggerimenti e sulle vostre domande per identificare gli argomenti ed i problemi di maggiore interesse: insieme possiamo creare conoscenza e magari contribuire allo sviluppo delle criptovalute, facendole uscire dall’area “grigia” della mancanza di regole e di trasparenza di cui vengono accusate troppo spesso. 

Le tasse non sono una bella cosa, ma il rispetto della legge non è certamente un optional.

I have been navigating the internet for a long while, but I never engaged in publishing and never thought about producing contents for the net: so far, my presence has been limited to a few nearly-abandoned social profiles. 

I decided to become more active, also thanks to friends from Koinsquare, who introduced me to Steem and showed me that the cryptocurrency community had a strong interest (and lot of doubts) about tax and legal matters. 

I am technically a “tax advisor”, but having worked in banks for a long time my experience is mostly concentrated on foreign investments: cryptocurrencies provide new, complex and very interesting issues under a tax and legal perspective, both for professional users (such as miners and exchanges) and for private investors.

 It therefore sounded like a good idea contributing in sorting out some doubts, and possibly providing suggestions in order to avoid most dangerous risks. 

I am not a trader, nor a tech guy: I cannot provide investment advice nor technological comments about cryptos. At the same time, I do not think it would be wise to rely on traders or techies in case of tax worries, and this is why I decided to jump in. 

I look forward to your suggestions and questions in order to identify hot topics and problem areas: I think that together we can produce real new knowledge, and possibly contribute to the development of cryptocurrencies, shedding light on the “grey area” of lawlessness and poor transparency that is much too often blamed on them. 

Taxes are never nice, but compliance with the law is definitely not optional.
