RE: Barry Michael Doyle - YouTuber, Programmer, Musician, Athlete (weird combo, I know...)

Hi Barry! Welcome to the platform. Steemit is definitely a place where you can promote your original content, and from the looks of your YouTube channel, it looks like you have a lot. I'd advise you to seek out people with similar interests and comment on their posts. It's the best way to build a nice following and raise your reputation.

I'm a fellow bass guitar player, so I know how fun that can be. Some of my fellow graduate students and I started a band a couple of years ago, and we've had a blast with it. I'm sure it'd be great to see some videos of your music.

Anyhow, I always offer the same advice to newcomers, so I hope these tips will help you as you get started on Steemit.

There are several ways to make the most of your time here on the website. First, familiarize yourself with the way the platform works by browsing the FAQs.

Next, check out the Steemit Etiquette Guide for tips on how to interact with others in the community and how to introduce yourself to everyone.

Finally, when it comes to commenting, check out this guide that will get you on the road to becoming a comment expert!

The rest is up to you! Happy Steeming!

Awesome man :) Thanks a lot for the advice. I'm going to check out those links :D I'd have to wait until the end of the year before I can start recording some of my jams since I'm a little broke. But starting a new job in November so I can get back on track then :P

I understand! Best wishes with the new job. Hopefully you'll be able to record some great jams.

The links will help you a lot! I know I've had success by sticking to the guides. Plus there are just a lot of great people on here. Once you dig through some of the spam and find them, you can build a great community.
