Just trying to survive like a normal person.

Hi everyone, my name is Daniel, have 23 years old and I'm from Caracas, Venezuela.

I'm sure a lot of you have heard, read or at least listened about Venezuela and it's situation. But I'm not here to talk (entirely) about that. I'm here to try, as too many others, to survive like a normal person. And how I'd do that? Well... Just trying to be normal.

I just graduated (well... Almost) as a materials engineer, I love books, music, movies, TV shows, video games and sports, food, my friends, my family, etc. I just enjoy everything.

One of my role models in life is Stephen King. I love his books, there's always an awesome story behind them. I think my favorite quote is the one that says "monster are real, they live inside us, and sometimes they win". I think that's true, but you always get the chance to beat them, doesn't matter how many times they win.

That's what I'm trying to do. To beat my monsters. No matter how many times they beat me. We just need to beat them once.

Ahora en español, no repetiré lo mismo que ya escribí, sino que seguiré, porque no básicamente así vivo yo, pasando de un idioma a otro a cada momento.

Vivir en Caracas es algo complicado. Pero una de las cosas que aprecio de vivir aquí, es que me ha enseñado a apreciar las pequeñas cosas. Es muy común no poder hacer las grandes cosas que deseas, pero siempre, siempre, siempre puedes disfrutar de la compañía de tus amigos, de una cerveza al salir de la universidad o de un simple paseo por un parque. La idea es no dejarte derrotar y luchar siempre por lo que quieres.

No sé qué más podría agregar, pero siempre estaré dispuesto a responderles.
