Although you do have a lot more freedom to write and express yourself without the censorship but unless you have a huge following, getting people to notice your content regardless of followers may prove difficult, steemit needs to improve upon the notification system so there is a higher chance for your followers to notice your content. But once it does, it will help a lot.
