Hello, I'm Curly Pole Dancer

Hi, my birth name isn't Curly Pole Dancer (I wish) but it's what I go by online! My first name is Stacy (that's all you get for now...) and I'm a mechanical engineering student in London and a pole fitness dancer. I'm currently in my final year of university, and have been pole dancing for a year and half.

Being a pole dancer is really cool. I've always loved music and dance, but I've never been into the whole dance choreographed dance class thing as it was a little too cheesy for me personally. It wasn't until I found a Korean pole dancer on instagram. She flowed so gracefully and beautifully I was so mesmerised and inspired, I signed up for my first pole class a week later! One thing that shocked me the most was the fact that pole dancing is very very very hard. You need a lot of strength, high tolerance to pain and flexibility to dance on a pole. To make it look effortless and easy, takes hours and hours and hours of practice.

I enjoy sharing my dance routines on instagram (check me out @curlypoledancer, I have lots of videos :D ), and I've had lots of love from people all over the world. I do unfortunately get some ~weird~ comments and dms, but I guess it comes with territory and it's always fun to laugh at those kinds of people with my friends. One of my favourite things about pole dancing is that you could never tell someone is in-fact a superstar pole dancer, because so many pole dancers look like ordinary people; small, tall, large, muscular or thin. The community is so open and supportive and pole dancing has been an escape for me many times where I can forget my problems and dance them away.

My mechanical engineering degree is the thorn in my side and I don't want to talk about it haha.
