Hi Steemit! My name is Jason and I am the owner and operator of Crowdini.

Shout to @brandonk for introducing me to Steemit!

What is Crowdini?

Crowdini is a question and answer game. We ask you to answer one (1) opinion based question a day and give you points based on how your answer compares to the majority answer. At the end of the game the player with the most points wins the #CrowdiniPrize.

We also choose one player everyday who voted the previous day to win the #DailyPrize.

It is designed to be something you can do in less than a minute a day but hopefully sparks conversation and thought.

How to Play Crowdini

Crowdini is very easy to play. You can play it on your desktop, laptop or mobile device. The game runs at Crowdini.com.

Sign up here. You can use your Google account, Facebook account or create your own username/password credentials.

After creating your account and username, you will be taken to the home page to answer today's question. It looks like this: (This is the live question for September 22, 2017, screenshot taken on my Android device)

 ()

----------

After you select your answer you will see the confirmation screen...

()

We give you 10 seconds to change your answer. If you want to change your answer tap the red Choose again button and you will be taken back to the question. If you want to lock in your answer you can either do nothing or tap the green Lock In button. After 10 seconds your answer will be locked in.

And that's it. You are done for today.

Before I tell you what's next here is a little more about how the game works...

------------------------------------------------------------------------

The daily question opens at 10 am eastern each day. You have 24 hours to answer the question. So today's question will close at 10 am eastern tomorrow and a new question will open immediately.

Each question is multiple choice with 2-5 answers. All questions are opinion based, there are no right answers. And questions can be about anything.

Games last about 2 weeks at a time. We start a game each month on the 1st and the 16th. The current game is named FIESTA and ends September 30th.

Back to what happens when a question closes

-------------------------------------------

When a question closes, all the votes are tallied and each answer is given the same amount of points as the percentage of the votes the answer received. So if your answer received 60% of the votes you would receive 60 points for that question.

We send you a daily email at 10:05 am eastern showing you how you did the previous day. (BTW, you can turn off email notifications in your account page if you prefer)

At least twice each game we ask Bonus questions. For these questions we ask you predict something and then after that event happens we award 100 bonus points to the answer that actually happened.

Then after the last question closes for the game, we tally up all the points and award a 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize to the players with top 3 point totals. We call this the #CrowdiniPrize.

If you want to learn more, including how you can refer other players to earn extra points. Go to the Crowdini How To page.

How this game will benefit Steemit!

-----------------------------------

You might remember above that I mentioned the #CrowdiniPrize and #DailyPrize.

Currently the #CrowdiniPrize is a giftcard to Amazon, Google Play or iTunes (winner's choice). 25USD for first, 15USD for second and 5USD for third. I am adding a 4th option now. STEEM!

So the winner will have the option of getting their prize in STEEM.

ALSO

We do a #DailyPrize everyday. How it works is I choose a voter from the previous day and give them 2USD via PayPal or Venmo. I am now adding STEEM as a choice for the #DailyPrize.

So that's my introduction. Love to you all!

Thanks. I plan to be here for a long time. :)

Interesting game concept. Welcome to Steemit.

Thanks. Any questions? Anything you don't understand?

No questions. Not sure I can keep up with a daily game though.

I understand.

Hmmmm

That's it? It's a sale's pitch to get traffic for your other site? That's not going to go over well here. Steemit needs quality content producers, not people attempting to profit from it indirectly.

The idea wouldn't be so bad if it was entirely on Steemit, but clearly your plan is to pull people from here to the other site. That makes you a profit, correct? What's the untold bottomline?

I am just hesitant to support the idea. Steemit works by people with SP in their accounts upvoting people's content. They are upvoting the content HERE. Therefore, I don't see how this is going to work well. Maybe you've figured out something I have not though.

Linking to other sites constantly is frowned upon here. No one is going to like it, so I'm not sure how you're going to spread your idea without doing that, right? Again, I'm open to new ideas, and perhaps I'm missing something.

I regularly look through intro posts for accounts that show promise, and I share some beginning information to help new users. Here's that information to help you:

There are a ton of other webpages to help you with Steemit. Here are some of the best for beginners:

https://steemd.com/ (This site is used to keep track of your voting power and other stats. You do not want to run out of voting power, and you only get so much per day. I keep my voting power around 80% for example.)

https://steem.makerwannabe.com/ (This site will tell you who follows you, who unfollows you, and who mutes you. It is great for meeting new people too. I regularly check it to see who has followed me to see if I should follow them back.)

https://steemit.chat/ (This site is the official chat webpage for Steemit. There are Discord channels too, but I usually stick to the official site. Come in to network and meet new friends. You can directly message people there too, so it makes it easier to communicate with your closest friends.)

Oh yeah, there are a lot of bots on here. If you see a cookie cutter reply, especially to your intro post, it is almost certainly a bot. Check the account's reputation. If it is low, I would recommend just ignoring them. Everything is public on Steemit, so you can go look at an account's comments and replies. Are they all the same? It's a bot.

He is offering a free to play contest, it isn't a sales pitch. Calm down and stop inciting negativity.

Sir, yes, sir! 8-P

First off thanks for the resources. I will explore all of them.

Secondly thanks for taking the time to respond. You could have just brushed off the post. I appreciate that.

Finally to address your concerns. Yes I do run the game on my own site. The way I run the game I don't believe there is a way to do the game entirely on Steemit. If it is possible I am open to making it happen.

I don't make any money off the site. I fund it completely with my own money, that includes paying out prizes and all operating costs. And any profit I would make from these posts on Steemit I will be keeping here. I have a full time job. Crowdini a something fun I love doing.

The game is 100% free to play. The only cost to the player is the 10 seconds a day it takes to play.

I'm new here and to the Steemit model. If the community doesn't embrace the game then that is ok. I understand I am new and so I have no reputation yet. I hope to change that through my actions on Steemit.

As for spreading the game on Steemit. It's not about spamming my site all over. It's about being a good member of the community. People are smart and if they are interested they will test out the game.

Understood and thanks for the explanation. Definitely check out the various Discord servers and the official steemit.chat then. You can engage more people there and spread the idea more quickly. I'm almost always on steemit.chat too, so feel free to stop by and chat. There are always helpful people there too if you have any questions!

Do I log into steemit.chat with my steemit credentials?

It's a separate system, but it is the official chat for steemit.com. Firepower runs it. You may see him come in and say hello to your intro post too. He looks through them as I do. ;-)

Got it. I just created my account there.

Is there a mobile app for android? For both Steemit and the chat.

Steemit.com works well as the regular webpage on most smart phones. I've never tried steemit.chat on my phone. I do not believe there's an app for either.

Ok. What are the discord channels?

I'm assuming thailand-funfun below is a bot?

Sadly, most replies a person gets to their intro post are bots. :(

I look through them on purpose though to find real and promising people. Some intro posts are bots too. There are a ton of scammers on here. Search for Steemitian as one example. All the accounts are fake and linked to one scammer. It's funny. He made it easy to find him.

The term is steemian, not steemitian. haha

Thanks for the advice. I will do my best to steer clear of the bots.

welcome to steemit community, hope you can work here, mutual comments and upvote, do not forget follow me @rajarizki
