Hi Steemit! - The Clumsy Programmer
"You'll never get bored with me."
Also known as, "run for the hills before it is too late". Photo Source
This was my introduction to a web development team I joined a while ago, it was composed by three members at the time, a designer, a frontend developer, and me as a backend developer. I had already been working with Laravel for a while, and that was precisely the framework they were trying to use for their current projects. So I thought it would be a great idea to work with them.
I wasn't exactly wrong, but I never thought my introduction to team development would be baptized by fire. Photo Source
It has been quite a journey, and I thought it would be fun to share it. I have been given permission by everyone involved in each story, and will still make my best attempt at making everything as anonymous as possible. From things like learning that XML databases are actually a thing, to getting colorful responses from clients on questions such as, upon being asked why his private server was installed as a shared hosting, being answered, "I don't know but I don't share it with anyone."
This was the answer sent by the man who set the server up. Not in picture: Intense internal screaming. Photo Source
So I hope you enjoy them, and thanks to steemit for giving me a platform to post these on.
If you have any question, or recommendations for future posts, let me know and leave a comment. I will be posting on a semi regular basis if at all posible.
Greetings new Steemian. I noticed that we are both somewhat new and we were both targeted recently by mistake. Never been mistaken for a bot before. Well, don't want to revisit that, but rather I wanted to welcome you to the community. Steemit is proving to be a very interesting and fun community overall. Lets encourage each other and put up lots of quality posts :-) Best wishes to you
