Welcome, everyone! It’s pleasure to meet you, Steemians. 😆

We are @ciceron.

@ciceron is a translation platform company.

Since its establishment, our company has been providing professional translation services for municipalities and well-known private companies in Korea, such as KT, Seoul, SK, and SGS and offer reliable translation services at various exhibitions and research papers.

a taboo picture among our team members... barely uploaded it against their harsh blame.

But, there is much more to @ciceron than that.
We created a database of translated texts, successfully built ciceron’s own ‘machine translation tool’ based on that data (I think we’ll reveal more in the following posts 😜) and gained attention as a company specializing in translation of content related to Korean wave.

We are also new to Steemit but are excited to welcome you here :) And now you are wondering why we decided to create an official account on Steemit all out of sudden?

In fact, most of our team members @bryanrhee @danbbee @youngseonyoon @a-liachoi are Steemians. (what a surprise, right?) It has all started with @bryanrhee who is always interested in everything new and unusual. (Actually you may know @bryanrhee if you enjoy reading kr-travel.) Although all of us are just newbies who have just started Steemit, every member is so into creating his/her own individual content on Steemit. All our members have done some blogging before, but it seems that Steemit is more competitive.

Because we are just newbies yet, while looking through posts by #jjangjjangman #muksteem(which are hot channels among Korean Steemians), we came across these words from a post of @stella12 .

“Certainly, I think that it’s great to continue sharing love and working in this warm and cozy atmosphere created by the community that is surrounded by a fence. But if you think that it’s a waste not to use your language skills or if you want to challenge your limits and engage into more extensive exchange activities on Steemit, I want to tell you that you should go out of the kr community’s door and explore your potential. Even if no one gives you votes or leaves comments. Because by doing so, you are improving you language skills and develop abilities to see a wider world, and that might be much more valuable.”
“I always think that I would like to communicate with people from different countries and show them how wonderful Korea (or kr) is.”

' More Koreans join Steemit every day and there is much more good content being uploaded, that’s why we thought it would be a waste to enjoy this content only between Koreans, following ‘kr’ tag. Some of you already know that there are many people who upload their own multi-language content!

Being a company specializing in translation of content related to Korean wave and knowing that kr content is quite competitive on Steemit, we thought it would be a good idea to create new content about Korean wave on Steemit but we also wanted to use our translation experience and somehow help Steemit and Steemians.

And we reached the following decision!!!

There are such platform services as Facebook as Reddit, but due to the language barrier, their users mainly exchange information only in their native languages. (Facebook provides machine translation services but still… it leaves much to be desired) We believe that breaking the language barrier and bringing the members of Steemit together will only contribute to the more active exchange of information and experience.

STEP1 Let’s make Steemit content about Korea known

First, we want to introduce good content about Korea abroad. To do that, ciceron will do everything possible to introduce good content about Korea to the global Steemians and gain the opportunity to receive more votes. The first project will be launched very soon together with @bryanrhee on #kr-travel. We will post fascinating stories about traveling in different languages on the club’s page, so keep following us and look forward to it!

Starting with this project, we will further provide translations of the most popular and breath-catching content uploaded on Steemit and organize events that will help us tear the language barrier down.

Please feel free to leave your comment on this page if there’s one that you’d like to share and read Korean articles. We plan to translate your feeds or articles into not only your language but also diverse languages in order to assist you to read good content regardless of language.

STEP2 Curation of global content and its translation

We also plan to keep track of not only Korean but also foreign outstanding writers, curate popular global content and provide translations into different languages. We also plan to provide translations of Steemit news and whitepaper to Korean Steemians to help make the exchange of information even more active. So if there is a specific writer and some content you would like to be introduced and translated into Korean, just contact @ciceron!

STEP3 We all win

What will happen if there are no language barriers and Steemians can freely exchange information with each other? Think how each language group slowly forms and develops on its own and how relatively small it is. We can avoid that by creating a win-win situation when not only each relatively small language group but also the whole Steemian society can grow and develop. The users will have the opportunity to exchange good content without any language barriers and the communication will become even more active. That, in its turn, will only attract more new users to Steemit platform.

At this time, we’ll only provide a service translating from Korean to English.
However, it will broaden the category in the near future.
