Hi all, I just came across Steemit yesterday and have to say I am excited and happy to join this community. Still trying to learn more on how Steemit works.  

So who am I ?

My name is Matt, an overweight chef, I'm 43 and 6 foot 4 and have ballooned to a weight of 24 stone but more on that later. I live in one of the most beautiful countries in the world, Scotland with mountains all around me.

 

My father was a Physical Training Instructor for 22years in the R.A.F. He was also  in the mountain rescue team. He is the most inspirational man I know, now in his 80s and still goes to the gym 3 to 4 times a week.  

 Right my title to this post! (So it starts Monday!)

As I said before I am now 24 stone and have had some health scares which I will go into with more detail in future posts. Monday is the day I start my adventure and will share it here , I am going to do weight training. To be honest even the warn up scares me. 

My goals are to lose weight and get fit, then I will get me and my dog to the top of one of these mountains where my Father loved to be.
