My First Post

Welcome All,

I have finally decided to make my first post on Steemit. For several months now I've been lurking on here, too afraid to put myself out there. Mostly afraid what I have to say isn't that interesting, or that I can't think of anything to say at all. After debating with myself for quite some time, I've decided to throw caution to the wind and see where this takes me. I'm here to try to better myself and help others. That has always been my goal and dream in life, to find a way to help other people. Growing up, I was never the type of person that had a singular focus on what I wanted to be later in life. I never aspired to become an astronaut, firefighter, policeman, or the president. I simply couldn't think of one thing I wanted to do with the rest of my life. However, I have always wanted to help other people. I want other people to feel loved, cared for, and to never feel alone in this big world. I hope that my efforts here will help someone out there somewhere feel a little better when times are rough. I want to provide words of encouragement, love and friendship. I want to help other people feel well in their hearts, minds and souls. To be honest with you, I'm not sure exactly what direction this blog will take as time progresses. Subjects may vary, but I want my underlying motivation to stay the same. I want to be here for you. I want to go on a journey with you, to better ourselves and be there for each other. To give each other a reminder that the world doesn't always have to be a dark and lonely place. For now, just call me Friend. That is all I aim to be.
