RE: The World's Most Dangerous Introduction Post (Part 1)

The wayback machine is great for nostalgia, isn't it? I used it to show my wife my first, 1996-era nerdy website. Nowhere near as impressive as yours, but more impressive than Toyota's and Staples' efforts from the time.

Let's see it! Another guy just commented with his Ye Olde Webe Syte from 2001... that's practically back to Shakespeare's time!

Yea, I use the Wayback Machine for a lot of things. I wrote a paper a while back and found an old photo I needed... from a 2005 copy.

Okay, here it is. Don't mind the orange and remember I was a first-year university student excited about the prospects of the internet at the time.

So why Glenn Seaborg? Not exactly a household name, but I know who he is. Were you dedicating it to his nuclear chemistry work or his later-life political activism? He had an interesting career.

I did a high-school assignment on the naming of Seaborgium for his nuclear chemistry work, and became a bit of a fanboi after that. Not being from the US, I must admit to being unfamiliar with his politics.

Just checking. Glenn T. Seaborg was no one trick pony! I will reveal at a later date how or why I know much about him. He was one of the true scientists that made America great in the 1940s. And as with many people involved in the Manhattan Project, he got to be quite the activist with what the US did with his work.

Ahaha, I see a Banner Exchange! Wait until Part 4, I've got a story on web ads in the (gulp) 20th century.

Web 1.0 is hilarious fun!
