HELLO DEAR STEEMIT, FROM @BlessedBen With Love. #MyFirstPost

Hi there, really glad to be finally here in the @steemit community and trying to make a first

post rather than perusing some bulky textbook on Common Law...(Yeah, am a law student

because nothing else could make me wear Suits, I hate them af…A T-Shirt and Jeans would do).

Ops, don’t know which is more frustrating right now, trying not to make a mess of a first post or

being stuck with some boring, bulky law textbook from the Eighteenth century.

Well...

My hands, clammy, my mind dark.

On the heels of some fear, some lack

Of the perfect words, some of Luther’s flair

That makes merry, some Lady fair

Words that charm. Perfect words

They fail me now.

Oh…am not perfect, its way down the steep

Many that jump, come back with a limp

And that’s not perfect

So take me as I am

And we gonna have some jolly good ride.

So that’s it, am not perfect, my posts might not be, no one is and we're all looking forward to growing,
….exactly what I hope to gain from the steemit community.

Oh…yes. I write some poetry too I actually took some time to look around

And was amazed by what I saw, really talented poets on here, like @d-pend, and many others.

Am hoping to sip from their fountain of poetic knowledge too.

So here's me saying hello,

…a robot can’t possibly draw a smiling “@” (I bet a million dollars you didn’t see

that). So that’s that for that, am not a robot and not planning on becoming one

(…yeah man becomes no more than a robot when he stops being creative, he becomes just

a little techy thing following programmed instructions. Bad isn’t it?)

Well…so to the next big question..

How did i find out about steemit?
Well, I wish I could say steemit found me. Anyway I saw a post about steemit on

Quora sometime last year but didn’t take it seriously (I do regret it quite predictably).

But since it seems steemit is for me, I still stumbled on a thread about steemit on Nairaland,

a popular African forum. Well, I took it seriously this time around and discovered the steemit community is a wonderful one, yes each one of you reading this is wonderful. So here I am and that’s all that matters.

Reasons for joining the community?
Well, having some audience for things one has to say is great right?

And learning some more from very talented people is wonderful right?

What about making some friends on the way, that is beautiful!!

And maybe, just maybe earning a little?...Steemit is irresistible!

On to the more personal things

My name is Benedict, but BlessedBen would really do.

I get that all the time,
Truth is am just 18...not too old right?
Currently studying Law…it could be so tiring.
But i hope to be a lawyer someday.
