Hello Steemit!

My name is Belle and I'm so excited to be part of the community. My friend @kevinwong has been pestering me to get on the blockchain for months and I've decided that today's the day!

Some backstory: I'm currently living between Malaysia, Dubai, and Canada - unemployed with lots of thoughts. When I returned to Malaysia a couple years ago, it was a difficult re-adjustment having lived and worked in Canada for close to 10 years. So here's when shit happened - I was denied re-entry into Canada on the basis of having "too many strong ties". Now say it with me - what?!? It didn't make much sense to me, but that was what the government deemed fit.

So I've spent the last two years travelling, diving, reuniting with old friends, and discussing ideas while trying to figure out my next move. To be honest, I'm still feeling kinda lost and have no idea what the future holds. Which is what brought me here because @kevinwong says its time to put pen to paper.. lol.

Being a simple minded girl, from a small town in Malaysia, it was quite a stretch to understand the potential implications and value of cryptocurrency in today's world. Tech is constantly evolving and data seems to be a new "asset" for lack of a better word. A newbie to the world of blockchains, feeling a little overwhelmed yet so thirsty to learn more, I hope to be able to gain insight, grow and be a friendly contributor to the dialogues and ideas surrounding the future of humanity, finance, and personal well being.
