Late but Brief Intro
Ive been on Steemit for a couple weeks now, familiarizing myself with the platform and the community.
My name is Jerel Safford from Florida! I joined Steemit because after getting involved in the blockchain/cryptocurrency space I was wanting to find a platform where I can enjoy my love for writing as well as feed my interest in the new industry and this is where I ended up! I have been trading/researching cryptocurrencies for the past five months. In that time I've developed a decent grasp on what I want out of crypto and how I plan on getting it with some long term holds and swing trades.

For all intents and purposes, Steemit is a publishing venture / blogging platform. Since you love writing, you'll find this is a great place to write, read, and join a community of like-minded people.
I've been active on Steemit for just over 2 months, writing various informative, interesting, and educational posts. My audience is growing slowly (networking is not my forte), but the pace of growth is picking up, and the content-creation work that I do is thoroughly enjoyable. (oh, and I earn a bit of Steem while doing so. :-) )
