Artistic Screeching: An Introduction to My Steemit Blog

I am an American man with a background in English Literature, the humanities, and some knowledge of linguistics. I like to screech about art, film, politics, culture, counter-culture, literature, cannabis, and a wide range of other issues. Occasionally, I might even say something cleaver or insightful but that's for you to decide.

I came to Steemit because I felt like I have something to say. That, and I wanted to earn some sweet, sweet Steem. I had hopes of writing hard hitting political commentary and heavy philosophical pieces but I found that it wasn't as much fun as I had expected because it felt very narrow. Quickly, I found that my original planned content had shifted to what it now is, so I am reintroducing my page to reflect the content I am actually producing.

In addition to the political and philosophical content I will focus more heavily on topics like movie and TV reviews, fun free writing excesses, cannabis blogging, and articles on topics from a broader range of issues that reflect my interests.

If you already follow me this is great for you because, in practice, nothing will change for you but If you are reading me for the first time and are interested in a more the type of thing I will be covering I urge you to check out my page and let me know what you think.
