Introducing myself.

I'm 18, and interested in politics, activism, hip hop and writing. I'm from Northern Ireland and I'm currently studying for A Level exams.

I've been keeping a keen eye on the cryptocurrency scene since 2011. I'm interested in the idea of Steemit and I'm eager to try it out. I remember finding out about Bitcoins when they were £4 and asking my parents to buy some, but of course, nobody listens to the investment advice of a 12 year old, no matter how good it is.

I campaign for a secular society, the equal treatment of nonreligious people, and religious freedom for children and young people. At the moment, all schools in Northern Ireland are legally required to hold prayers in their daily assemblies. All students are legally required to attend these unless they've got parental permission to opt out.

I'm campaigning to give over 16s/Sixth form students the right to opt out themselves, without needing parental permission. Nobody should be forced to attend religious worship against their will - in fact, the state should treat all religious views equally, with none marginalised or promoted above any other.

I'm considering doing a series of 'Basic Introductions' articles - five-minute reads on various topics which people might not know about, around the area of politics, society etc. - and accepting suggestions if there's anything people would like to learn about.
