No problem, just make sure you post content and use relevant hash tags, follow people comment on people's posts to gain followers and also build your reputation up to get higher upvotes for your post,,, you also need to upvote post too as well as comments,,, you do have what is called voting power which is in 100% , by the time you upvote a post that % drops by 2% , if you upvote 10 post a day that will use 20% out of your voting power, but the steemit system tops up the voting power by 20% daily.
