 (1) Time-lapse photography of Fixed position
It is recommended to choose a road with a fast-moving direction and a uniform direction to take a picture.
Adjust the drone position for the best picture composition. Then the drone monitor switches to the M position and adjusts the camera parameters.
Next, select the timed continuous shooting in the shooting mode, the shooting interval should be combined with your needs, then click the shutter to start shooting.
Do not move the drone during this process. If you need a 10-second delay video, it is recommended to shoot 8-15 minutes.
Never run out of power to ensure that the drone can safely return. Then you will get a lot of photos.（2）DJI Drones Movement Time-lapse Photography
Compared with the fixed position time-lapse shooting, the moving time-lapse shooting has a stronger impact angle.
This can be done with the [pointing flight] function built into the drone. Enter the smart function, click [point flight], select the flight direction and speed you need, Then turn on the timer shooting function. In this process, you should keep a close eye on the drone’s image transmission, and stop the time-lapse shooting in case of danger.
The problem that often occurs when moving time-lapse shooting is that the picture is shaken relatively loudly, so the speed of pointing the flight should be controlled.
If you are trying for the first time, try to slow down the drone. If the wind speed in the environment is large, shooting is not recommended.
By the time of post processing, you will find out how important stable shooting is. After Drone Time-lapse shooting, there will be a lot of photos to be post-processed. The post-processing method is relatively simple, which is to eliminate the jitter after the photo is combined into a video. The commonly used software is Pr.
This video processing software is not only very powerful but also novices can get started quickly.
Import the photo material into Pr, check the [jpeg sequence] option, right click on the item [interpret material] tab, and enter the [main] option.
Set the frame rate of the generated video to 24 frames per second. Then you can see the synthesized delayed video.
Finally, drag the [Deformation Stabilizer] onto the video and the Pr software will start to stabilize.
If you are shooting a fixed position delay, please click [Implement Control] [Deformation Stabilizer] [Stabilization] [Results] on the left side, Select [Do not exercise], If you are operating for moving time-lapse shooting, select [Smooth Motion]. Waiting for the software to be processed, the time-lapse work you made yourself is born.（3）Day and Night Alternate Drone movement Time-lapse Shooting
The principle is to use drones Waypoint flight function.
Choose a scene that you like and that is beautiful during the day and night, then turn on the waypoint flight function and record a straight line. Next, set the shooting parameters, click to execute immediately, the drone will re-fly the route.
Please adjust the flight speed and shooting interval according to your needs. Shoot again after dark. Manually set camera parameters such as exposure, then open the task favorites in the waypoint record, click to execute immediately, and the drone will repeat the daytime route.
Please note that the gimbal, flight speed, and shooting interval must be consistent with the daytime.
After the shooting is completed, you can use the post-processing method to create two delay videos.Import the processed two videos into Pr, put them on two tracks, and then find the appropriate connection points for the two videos of day and night.
Adding the effect of the [cross-dissolving] transition in the effect of the articulation section makes the video more natural.
Then you can render the output.Problems encountered when Time-lapse shooting:
1. The camera photo mode is only in single shot mode.
Reason and treatment:
A: Insufficient onboard flash memory – format the onboard flash memory after saving the content
B: Firmware is not upgraded to the latest – upgrade firmware using DJI Assistant 2
