Introduction 1.1 - Getting Here

My parents are on the left and I am holding my toy car in this picture. We where immigrants on our way to America and we where almost there. There was a catch though, we could leave Russia but America hadn't granted us entry yet.

We left St. Petersburg Russia in the year of 1988. We ended up living in Venice Italy for about 6 months. Most of my earliest memories where made here. We lived right on the beach on top of the bar my father worked at. I remember the huge ships just sitting on the beach and dodging the jellyfish that washed up on shore. My first job was here as a self employed windshield washer on the corner.

So now here we where on the way to Iowa (of all places lol). The picture was taken at a Diner in Austria the day Before we arrived. That was getting here.

I will be writing my introduction in separate post because I have severe ADD :) Tomorrow part 1.2, maybe.
