I was born in 1977

I was born a few months before "A New Hope"

I had the benefit of growing up in an Era where many things in San Diego were given to the Children.

I remember climbing in the Morton Bay Fig at Balboa park, long before it was fenced off due to root damage and people's need to carve their names in it.

This beautiful tree is an icon of Balboa Park, I'm happy it's preserved, but I'm sad for the damage that caused it to be fenced off from the public.
