My Grandmother - The rise of Croatian MAFIA
My grandmother is a dangerous player. Things she lived trough made her a tough, gruff, proud person that doesn’t let anybody bully her around with a vocabulary of a sailor. She acts like a boss and it kind of feels like she is sitting on our heads sometimes. She wants all of us to act like old people because she thinks that’s how it’s suppose to be. The other day, she almost got in a fight with another lady on the fish market because the lady wanted to buy a fish my grandma saw first.
My grandmother earned her little wealth by smuggling jeans from Italy to Croatia, then a part of Yugoslavia, which was a pretty dangerous venture for hat time. She built a big house from it, alone, because my grandfather was a drunk and somehow that gives her the right to constantly threaten that she will kick me out of it when I stay out late at night or when I get high. She often calls police to our neighbours because she is convinced that they are doing something illegal. But all they do is calling her "Vito" or "Luca Brasi".
What she enjoys the most is counting money and keeping money somewhere safe. Nobody knows why. She speaks several languages but all in one big mashup she simply calls ‘’foreign’’.
My dad used to say: "Old people should be killed while they are still young!" ;). But my grandmother is now just to old to hurt anyone. I'll make her Steemit account, so she can argue with you all!!
I hope I won't find a horse head in my bed next morning
Your grandmother sounds hilarious. I loved your dads quote too ""Old people should be killed while they are still young!" Good post, cheers!
