Hello Steemit!! Self-employed and trying to live the dream!

I'm Matt, an entrepreneur from New York. I quit my corporate desk job at a top global bank over two years ago to focus on my home resale business and pressing family health issues. It took a leap of faith and some convincing of old-fashioned parents, but it's been a rewarding experience that's given me the time and freedom to grow as an individual, and fortunately discover cryptocurrency early enough. I believe in being true to yourself, treating others well, and good karma. My main hobby outside of sports, music and chess... is thrifting!

I feel that Steemit will offer the opportunity to keep abreast of current trends and engage in healthy discussion. I hope to do my part to help the community grow and thrive. I'm not typically a big social media person, but this platform feels like something I could get excited about.

About me: I play the drums (heavy rock and metal), and about 30-40 baseball games a year in a wooden bat league (knuckleball pitcher, infield & catcher). Few things are better than playing live gigs, hitting a home run, or floating a knuckleball through a huge swing and miss.
