Let's start from the beginning: I came to the world on the Venezuela's independence day of 1979: Holy Thursday of full moon, Saint Expedito's day in the Catholic calendar, under a zodiacal sign ruled by the god of war and named with a diminutive whose meaning is "protector of humanity". Too much responsibility for such a small body, which has served as training for even more interesting challenges.

One of the things that I like most is being the mother of a girl, who more than a daughter has been a challenge. It surpasses me in wisdom and is of those intense people whose life requirements are simple and at the same time complex. Her father died 8 years ago, a situation that made us one of the most powerful alliances on the planet, in which one account with the other unconditionally. She brought me my other son, Bob Medrano, the protector of the females of the herd and the gallant of the stable. I adore both of them with all my soul.

During my life I did everything: secretary, a saleswoman, I participated in audiovisual projects, I was an announcer and radio producer, among other things. I´m currently teaching, a career that was not on my radar at first tiem and which I entered to change to another career. However, the career was chose me and I am sure today more than ever that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life. I'm one of those teachers who qualifies with memes, recognizes when I don’t know something and consults and show chapters of rare series in class, all with the purpose of generating in them restlessness and doubts that lead them to investigate and improve. In particular, I’m one of those who protects their students and supports them in difficult times, since I don’t forget that I was also behind the desk.

In the same way, I’m passionate about the arts world. Photography, theater, cinema, plastic arts, literature. That art that bothers, moves, dislodges anyone is the one I like most.

I'm a music lover, rock being my favorite genre. However, in our home we are invaded by the Korean Wave since my daughter brought BTS, EXO, Black Pink and a lot of interesting people and, to my surprise, ended up captivating me. Also and without intending it, I ended up watching doramas and approaching Korean cinema, which, it should be noted, far exceeded my expectations. The Asians and their ability to excel even in our natural areas.

I try to transform my hobbies in research topics. For being an incurable nerd, everything related to comics, video games, music, films and cult literature tried to take it into the academy as serious subjects of study, since it is popular culture and the academy sits on it, whether or not it recognizes it .
